Signs of A Broken Relationship2009-05-18
Can you still remember how your relationship first started? Doesn't everything seem to be so ideal back then? How your significant other showered you with compliments, listened to everything you say, and took you out to dinner at least twice a week? Is it still like this right now? If your answer is no and you are sad that your relationship went from perfect to a tiring mess, you'd better wake up and re-evaluate your relationship. I know it can be quite difficult to accept that your relationship may be in trouble. But sometimes, it can be very tricky and complicated to figure out if your relationship is damaged and broken. Want to be sure? Then read on the signs of a broken relationship.

1.
"It's like talking to a freakin' wall!" - Emma, a 24 year old desk clerk from Los Angeles, CA shares her story of how her boyfriend gives the impression of ignoring her while they are having a conversation. "He'd be starin' at the TV or roll his eyes whenever I'm talking, I'm sick of being disrespected!" Remember that part of a relationship is a deep and mutual respect between the two people involved.

For the Guys: Just imagine what you'd feel if she did the same thing to you.

2. "I feel like he's not interested with me anymore" - according to Jenna, a 19 year old student from Las Vegas, NV about her boyfriend who doesn't talk as much with her unlike when they were in the earlier years of dating. Communication and the consistent changing of thoughts between you and your significant other are crucial for the long-term success of your relationship.

For the Guys: Tell her how your day went or how you hate your new boss. Ask her view on things and make sure you let her feel you're interested to know what's on her mind.

3. "He's not kissing and hugging me anymore, I'm feeling very unattractive and unwanted." - Taylor of Atlanta, GA told me that her boyfriend for 4 years wasn't always like that. She remembers how he used to love kissing and hugging her all the time "He used to be a very touchy person. I don't know what happened." This is a sure sign of a broken relationship. Guys likes to touch girls and vice versa. If he's not always in the mood to hug, kiss or cuddle, chances are his feelings for you are slowly fading.

For the Girls: You might want to ask your boyfriend the real status of your relationship and what really the deal is between the two of you.

4. "I hate it when he checks out other girls. But am I allowed to get angry? Is that normal with guys?" - This is what Marge of San Francisco, CA is going through whenever she and his boyfriend are going out. "Whether we are dinin' out, strolling 'round, or just plain hanging out, he'd be staring at other girls. I hate him so much!" This is not normal and a very critical situation in a relationship because this means your boyfriend is not interested with you anymore and is on the hunt for a new potential partner.

The situations depicted above shows general signs of a broken relationship. Girls, let the the guys feel that you deserve to be treated better because a relationship is supposed to work both ways. If you did your best and tried to reach out to him to fix your relationship and he still won't change, I suggest that it's time for you to let go and move on with your life.
